Ardmhéara Mícheál Mac Donncha today (5th July) visited the nearly completed family hub accommodation being developed by Dublin City Council on Clonliffe Road, Dublin 3. He commended the standard of work on the new supported family accommodation and said the positive drive and energy involved needs to be replicated in developing social housing.

We ensure compliance with all statutory health and safety standards for homeless service provision and there is a formal policy for providers of emergency accommodation in terms of standards required.
Dublin City Council, as the lead statutory authority in the Dublin Region, through the functions of the Dublin Region Homeless Executive, is leading out on providing the Cold Weather Strategy (CWS) in order to provide a humanitarian response to persons who are rough sleeping and experiencing homelessness in the Dublin region during the cold weather.
